Application Development
The Company has installed a wide range of applications, from a simple MS Access database to touch-screen systems using mobile phones with text messaging. Rigorous programming standards are adhered to and all work is checked using the latest software tools. Great care is taken during the data modelling phase to ensure that the database design is robust and flexible. Systems holding personal data must comply with the Data Protection Acts using full Access security and, where necessary, encryption. Latterly we have interfaced an Access database to VB.Net using Windows Forms.
Consultancy
The Company is able to offer experienced, sound, commercially unbiased advice about trends, issues, bugs and best practice for a proposed or existing Access or SQL Server database - there is no charge for this. We understand the limits of Microsoft products; we can guide you through a project that will not fail. Some projects may attract a development grant; we have a Technology Means Business (TMB) adviser who can manage such projects.
Training
The Company offers training in Microsoft Access. Tuition is undertaken by an experienced member of the Institute of IT Trainers. Courses range from beginner to advanced VBA programmer. We also offer Mentoring which is a mix of consultancy and training; this usually takes place in the workplace and on the Access database in question.
