Contract Capture 2

The Post Office wanted to sell the HomePhone service using four field sales offices.  They commissioned us to write a database to assist the agencies to record the contracts and process the data.

A bar-code scanner was used to capture the contract number.  The database ensured a high standard of integrity by enforcing compliance with 31 rules before the data was accepted as 'valid'.  Addresses were checked against the Post Office Address File (PAF).

A second 'hub' database was created to hold all the data from the four field databases.

After data validation, an XML file was created on a daily basis and sent via an encrypted link to be processed.
